You are cordially invited to join an intimate group of eight special guests of the Champagne Goddess; as we explore the very best of Effervescence Tasmania 2022.

Showcasing the incredible passion of Tasmania’s finest Sparkling Winemakers; Vintners and Viticulturalists; you’ll be treated to exemplary dining opportunities and mind-blowing sparkling wines. You will learn why Tasmania is so highly regarded by so many of the world’s most accomplished sparking wine-makers.

Hosted by Natalie Fryar, the Queen of Australian Sparkling, with a little comic repartee by Merrick Watts; you’ll be wowed by the award-winning Chef Nick Riatt of Josef Chromy, and impressed with tasting opportunities of arguably the most elegantly crafted and sophisticated sparkling wines in the world today.

Commencing Friday 11th November through to Monday 14th November, choose how long you’ll stay and what events you’ll attend by selecting from the options below:

With perfectly located accommodation at Verge Hotel, on Tamar Street; Launceston and ample time to explore the famous Harvest Produce Markets and award-winning restaurants, your itinerary across the three days of adventure include:

  • Arrival pre-dinner bubbles and Coal-River cheeses as we check-in to our elegant accommodation at Verge Hotel Launceston, down-town.
  • Black-Tie 5-course Degustation Dinner at Josef Chromy, em-ceed by Merrick Watts; hosted at a Tasmanian Sparkling Winemaker’s Table, with matching wines, special museum releases, and menu by Chef Nick Riatt.
  • Saturday morning trip around the iconic Harvest Produce Market, and Bread+Butter patisserie
  • Transfers and tickets to Effervescence Tasmania:
    • The Garden Party featuring a marquee showcasing  approximately 25 Tasmanian Winemakers’ wines; with a souvenir glass and snacks through out the day by Josef Chromy kitchen.
    •  The two most unique Masterclasses of the day:
      • Tasmanian Sparkling Masterclass featuring some of the New World’s top wines as Natalie Fryar and a panel of  Tasmanian Winemakers discuss the terroir, the styles and typicities that make Tasmania so unique.
      • International Sparkling Masterclass – Discover Tasmania’s Flagships of bubbles and see for yourself why they confidently sit amongst the best the world has to offer.
      • ~the option to add another scintillating Masterclass at 4pm: Merrick Watts’ ‘An Idiot’s Guide to Wine’ @$65pp
  • Saturday evening, we are going to stroll into the city centre to take advantage of some of Launceston’s award-winning restaurants… pay own way for dinner of your choice: entrees or mains; share plates or perhaps just cheese and dessert after tasting wines all day…
  • Sunday morning there will be time to sleep-in; Walk up and through the Launceston’s famous Gorge, or stroll through the Botanic Gardens to view the renowned Rhododendrons.

Lastly:

  • We are invited as special guests of Natalie Fryar to her exclusive Long Lunch at the award-winning restaurant Black Cow Bistro. Limited to only 30 guests; This will be another exquisite gastronomic triumph featuring four-courses of fresh Tasmanian produce accompanied by extra-special release Sparklings from Natalie Fryar’s private BelleBonne collection, and possibly a unique magnum tasting of Hugh McCullough’s Wellington+Wolfe Riesling range.

Two different price-ranges:

Option 1: Three Nights: Arrive Friday, depart Monday. Twin-share Accommodation for three nights at The Verge Hotel; All the above inclusions; including he Black-Tie Degustation Dinner; Saturday’s Festival and Masterclasses, Sunday’s Long Lunch and transfers between events; (does not include airport transfers) = $1,650 per person twin share (king or twin rooms)

Option 2: Two Nights: Arrive Friday, depart Sunday. Twin-share accommodation for two nights: Includes the Black-Tie Degustation Dinner; Saturday’s Festival and Masterclasses and transfers; (does not include Natalie Fryar’s Bellebonne X Black Cow Long Lunch) = $1,150 per person twin share

And one spot available: (Twin-room share with Susan): An extra-special evening on Thursday 10th November, as invited guests to Natalie Fryar’s personal event showcasing BelleBonne’s full range of Museum-Releases!
